CHUCK GRAVES & PAT LAMONT VICTORIOUS
AT "DA GROVE"
The Midwest Super Comp Series made it's annual stop at Great Lakes Dragaway for some 1/8 mile, 5.70 Super Comp Racing.
For the first time racing under the lights this year for the series, it was Chuck "Pee Wee" Graves in his beautiful Ford T-Bird taking the win. Pee Wee held off points leader Chad Lamont in a close final round. #1 Qualifier was Ben Baer.
Sunday dawned sunny but windy. Once again the racing was tight but in the end it was "Captain" Pat Lamont claiming victory. In an all Lake Villa, Illinois final it was Jim Glosson taking up the Runner-Up spot. With his win, Pat Lamont moved into 2nd place in points behind Chad Lamont. #1 Qualifier was Larry Wasielewski.
Our next stop will be at Cordova on August 15 & 16. The track will be open on Friday from 5 to 10 fro Test & Tune and Parking. Saturday gates will open at Noon with Time Runs beginning at 1:00 pm. Sunday gates will open at 8:00 am and Time Runs will start at 9:00 am.
