Chad Lamont Wins Family Feud, Chiddister Bags Wolf at Byron

Mother Nature finally allowed The Midwest Super Comp Series to complete a full race weekend at Byron Dragway. Pat Lamont driving his new dragster was the #1 Qualifier on Saturday. Pat was not done as he swept through the field to meet his son Chad in the final. Pat's .000 light wasn't enough to hold off Chad who took the win light. Great Job Team Lamont!

With a chance of rain the Sunday race schedule was cut to just one qualifying run. Still riding high off his Saturday victory, Chad Lamont took #1 Qualifier honors. Curt Chiddister put an end to Chad's hot streak in the third round. Curt advanced to the final where he met Ben Wolf in his small black powered dragster. The final was over on the starting line as Ben went red handing the victory to Curt. Good Job to Both Curt & Ben!

The next MWSC Races will be at Tri-State Dragway in Earlville, Iowa on July 18 & 19. This will be a NHRA DIV. 5 National Open. We will run our program both days with our payout and entry fee. There will be no other Super Comp Races there that weekend. You will receive a NHRA Grading Point for this race.

Founding member, Randy Etheridge, suffered a severe rotator cup injury which will keep him out of commission for 8 months. We wish him well during his recovery.
