Wolf, Rosenberry, Jenkins Rule at Byron
The final weekend of the 2015 Season was eventful to say the least. Heavy overnight rains forced a late start of racing activity. 33 cars mad the first round call at 5 pm to run 1/8 mile due to track conditions. We were able to get down to 5 cars before darkness ended racing for the day. Joe Bommarito was #1 Qualifier at 8.901.
Sunday brought sunny skies and perfect temperatures. This day saw 31 cars racing the /14 mile. Mark Meier led qualifying with a perfect 8.900. After 5 rounds of tight racing Ben Wolf took the top spot with Dennis Foster being the Runner-Up.
The Champion of the "Loyalty Shoot-out" was Lacey Rosenberry with Gary Jenkins being Runner-up.
In the "Last Chance Shoot-out" Gary Jenkins was the victor over Joey Bommarito.

Sunday dawned sunny but windy. Once again the racing was tight but in the end it was "Captain" Pat Lamont claiming victory. Chad Lamont & Jerry Hoss Triumph in Earlville
Sunshine and heat instead of clouds and rain greeted TriState Dragway and Midwest Super Comp Racers for the Division 5 National Open. After five rounds of racing, the equally hot Chad Lamont bested Midwest Super Comp regular Jim Gerakaris in the final.
Sunday saw less heat in the air but plenty on the track. This day saw Division 5 racers shine. Veteran racer Jerry Hoss of Prior Lake Minnesota was the victor over fellow Minnesota resident, Steve Geiger. Jerry uses 8.90's clocking at 137 to 143 MPH for his victory. Thanks to all who made the tow.

Chad Lamont Wins Family Feud, Chiddister Bags Wolf at Byron
Mother Nature finally allowed The Midwest Super Comp Series to complete a full race weekend at Byron Dragway. Pat Lamont driving his new dragster was the #1 Qualifier on Saturday. Pat was not done as he swept through the field to meet his son Chad in the final. Pat's .000 light wasn't enough to hold off Chad who took the win light. Great Job Team Lamont!
With a chance of rain the Sunday race schedule was cut to just one qualifying run. Still riding high off his Saturday victory, Chad Lamont took #1 Qualifier honors. Curt Chiddister put an end to Chad's hot streak in the third round. Curt advanced to the final where he met Ben Wolf in his small black powered dragster. The final was over on the starting line as Ben went red handing the victory to Curt. Good Job to Both Curt & Ben!
The next MWSC Races will be at Tri-State Dragway in Earlville, Iowa on July 18 & 19. This will be a NHRA DIV. 5 National Open. We will run our program both days with our payout and entry fee. There will be no other Super Comp Races there that weekend. You will receive a NHRA Grading Point for this race.
